Edison Amberola 30 Phonograph
1915
Built in 1915, this phonograph was named after the new four minute cylinder records called Amberols. This machine was built to play Edison’s Blue Amberol Records or “indestructible” (hard plastic) cylinders only. Like other Edison models, the model number indicated the cost of the machine. Therefore, this machine cost $30 when it was first purchased.
