The Columbia “Jewel” was highly popular due to its compact size and low price of $20. On the back of this model is the Grand Prize decal showing it won awards at the 1900 World's Fair in Paris and at the 1904 Expo in St. Louis. Columbia used this decal on all of the B models as proof of the superior quality of their graphophones.
